In Ghana “one corner” is a slang term used to describe a place that the speaker does not want to go through the trouble to disclose in detail and/or presumes the listener may not know about.
Almost akin to a hide away or open secret; If you know, you know type of thing. For example; one might be overheard saying: “I’m just waiting out the traffic jam at one corner in Kokomlemle” in order to save themself describing the exact location in Kokomemle.
It can also refer to the speaker’s private place of refuge or safe space if you will. You might hear it used in this way as
well: “I was sitting in my one corner not looking for anybody’s trouble when it all went down”
